Madhya Pradesh government has instructed all the universities to conduct open-book exams for undergraduate and post graduate university students this semester.
The government of Madhya Pradesh has recently issued an order to all the universities in the state, asking them to conduct open-book exams for undergraduate and postgraduate students of all semesters in view of the current Covid-19 surge in the state.
As per this order, the exams for all the-even semester students in undergraduate programmes and fourth-semester students in post-graduate programmes will be conducted in open-book mode. This decision was announced by the higher education department of Madhya Pradesh.
The official notice shared by the Department of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh also states the examination months for different semesters. The students will be appearing for the exams from home by uploading the answer sheets for the same online.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has also asked all the universities and higher educational institutes in the country not to conduct any offline exams in the month of May. However, universities can conduct online exams this month.

The detailed schedule for the university examinations in Madhya Pradesh will be released by the respective institutes of the students. However, the state government has communicated the months in which the exams will be conducted.
As per the official notification uploaded on Twitter, the undergraduate final year exams and post-graduate fourth-semester exams will be conducted in June and the results for the same will be announced in July.
The undergraduate first and second semester and postgraduate second-semester examinations will be conducted in July 2021 and the result will be declared in August 2021, the notice further states. The date sheets will be uploaded by universities soon.
The notification released by Madhya Pradesh higher education department also states that the practical exams for all the courses will be conducted after the open-book exams. Students are advised to keep a check on the website and social media handle of the education department for more details.
