On June 1, the CBSE board exams 2021 for Class 12 were cancelled after a high-level meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi. Deputy CM and Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia had been batting for the board exams to be cancelled without mandatory vaccination of students.

After CBSE cancelled the Class 12 board exams, many other states took the same path. Different states are now coming up with their own methods to evaluate the Class 12 board exam students.

Manish Sisodia has written to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal regarding the CBSE Class 12 board exam evaluation criteria.

Sisodia suggested that 30 marks should be given on the basis of the pre-board exams, 20 marks on the basis of the Class 11 results, 20 marks on the basis of the Class 10 results, and the rest 30 marks on the basis of the internal assessment made by schools.
