Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film, Ram Setu, is scheduled to hit cinemas in Diwali 2022. On Thursday, April 28, the actor dropped the first glimpse of the film on social media. While there were many who showed their excitement, others seemed confused about why the actor is carrying a flambeau, when Jacqueline Fernandez is already carrying a torch, in the latest poster.

HOW DID INTERNET REACT TO AKSHAY’S RAM SETU?

On April 28, Akshay Kumar shared the first look of Ram Setu on Twitter. He wrote, “A glimpse into the world of #RamSetu. In cinemas Diwali, 2022 (sic).” As soon as the new poster was unveiled, some Twitter users lauded the film. However, there were others who couldn’t stop themselves from asking, why light a fire when you can carry a torch? In the poster, where Akshay can be seen carrying a flambeau, his co-star, Jacqueline Fernandez, has a torch in her hand.

On January 31, Akshay Kumar flaunted his look from Ram Setu and shared a video on his official Twitter handle. While sharing the video, Akshay wrote, "Here’s to the wrap of yet another amazing project #RamSetu. I learned so much during the making of this film, it was like going to school all over again. Badi mehnat ki hain hum sabne, ab bas aapka pyaar chahiye (We have worked hard. Now we need your blessings) (sic)."

ABOUT RAM SETU

Ram Setu is directed by filmmaker Abhishek Sharma. Akshay will be seen alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharucha. The movie is reportedly scheduled to release on Diwali this year.
