The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 exam will be held on October 3, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
While releasing the JEE information brochure earlier, IIT Kharagpur said: “Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic-related circumstances in India, the date of JEE (Advanced) 2021 had earlier been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course.”
This year, candidates have been given leniency to attend JEE Main exam twice. In short, those who could not appear in JEE Advanced last year due to Covid-19 can directly appear in the exam this year.
About JEE exams
JEE is being conducted four times a year for the first time to provide flexibility to students. The JEE Main April and May exams for 2021 had also been postponed back in April due to the surge in Covid-19 cases.
JEE Advanced is being conducted for admission in 23 IITs for undergraduate Engineering, Science and Architecture courses. Applicants who are top rankers in JEE Main exam, managed to get a seat in JEE Advanced.
