n 2016, NITI Aayog initiated to promote the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst young minds. The Atal Mission Innovation (AIM) has taken a holistic approach to ensure creating a problem-solving mindset in schools and creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship where students can show their talent and excel.

AIM has launched the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) programme where space is established in schools to foster curiosity and innovation in students.

With the unpredictability of Covid-19, education has been entirely digitized in this era. But there is a need for practical learning as well keeping in mind how digital education can impact a kid's mind and health.

Edtech companies apart from setting up Atal Tinkering Lab in schools are also providing various services to students and developing them into ‘kidpreneurs’.

With the help of such services, students can innovate and experiment with the help of 21st-century tools and technologies such as IoT, 3D printing, AI, Robotics, do-it-yourself kits, and many more which stimulate problem-solving innovative mindsets within them.

This is a Noida-based edtech company founded by Anurag Gupta and Rajeev Tiwari in 2015. STEMROBO focuses on leveraging technology in education, which acts as an enabler for students to learn and innovate in the field of STEAM, Robotics, IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The edtech company is in the list of indicative vendors for ATL equipment as mentioned by NITI Aayog and they have so far set up more than 1200+ Atal Tinkering Labs in leading schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Delhi Public School, DAV Public School, Apeejay School, Saraswati Vidya Mandir, and Bhartiya Vidya Mandir

2. RoboKart

This is an edtech startup company founded by Chaitali Shah and Ritesh Shah in 2014. It aims to explore, experiment, and learn robotics in the right way and develop STEM in the country. The company sets up labs in schools and provides the components and training to students and teachers.

The startup has also tied up with Atal Tinkering Lab to take its concepts to government schools in rural areas. They have more than 1 lac learners who have either learned directly or have brought products online from their website.

Apart from this, Robokart will soon launch another module that will enable learners to learn without physically attending the training programs. Also, they’ll provide online courses to kids that will help to kick-start and explore early interest in the technology.

3. WHIZROBO

This is a Ludhiana-based edtech company, founded by Dimple Verma and Naveen Verma. Offers products and training in artificial intelligence and robotics to the K-12 segment. The company’s objective is to create awareness about STEM education by introducing robotics to children and making them future-ready.

They also provide services like Online courses, Robotic Kits, and Online Workshops that encourage young minds to innovate and learn. The startup is also an authorized channel partner for Punjab with AVM Infotech India Pvt Ltd and is a listed vendor for Niti Aayog for setting up ATL Labs across India.

Whizrobo is also a member of the Intel Technology Program for introducing AI in schools all over Punjab and Chandigarh.

4. Avishkaar

This is an edtech company founded by Tarun Bhalla in 2009. The company manufactures and sells robotic kits. It also develops and provides in-school robotic programmes for children and installs robotics and science labs for schools.

The company works on creating an ecosystem to create immersive learning experiences that encourage innovation.

The company is also one of the foremost players to set up Atal Tinkering Lab and also envisioned the Avishkaar Learning Programs (ALPs) intending to make the learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts a fun-filled and engaging experience.
