Google has finally introduced its Kormo Jobs App to India. This application looks to offer help to many people finding jobs in India. The application lists employment opportunities and allows users to create their digital resume on it. Introducing Kormo Jobs, Google in its official blog said, “Encouraged by this momentum and to lend support to employment efforts in a post-pandemic world, we are bringing our Kormo Jobs Android app to India to help even more job seekers discover and apply for jobs across India with an additional gateway”.
Initially, Google introduced Jobs Spot on Google Pay and now it will be rebranded to Kormo Jobs. The company claims that it will continue to invest in it with new features and jobs so that its users can continue to benefit from its convenience.
Additionally, the company mentions that it is rebranding Jobs Spot on Google Pay as Kormo Jobs in India and also making its standalone Android app available in one of its key overseas markets.
According to CMIE report, a total of 18.9 million salaried jobs lost since April 2020. In such times, an application from such a huge tech giant can certainly help job seekers to get back on the tracks.
Kormo Jobs will allow users to create their profile on it and on the basis of their profile, it recommends employment opportunity. The application will also provide the option to build the digital resume which can be further shared or printed.
The Kormo Jobs application will be competing with the likes of LinkedIn, Naukri.com, Shine.com, and TimesJob.
