Congress President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala for the first time after winning from the seat by a margin of 4,31,770 votes in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
The three-day visit, from 7 to 9 June, will see Rahul Gandhi hold roadshows across the constituency to thank the people.
The Congress chief will reportedly be holding roadshows in Vandur, Nilambur and Ernad Assembly segments on Friday, followed by roadshows in six towns on Saturday, and a roadshow in the Thiruvambadi Assembly segment on Sunday.
While Gandhi lost to Smriti Irani in his party bastion of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, he scored a decisive win in Wayanad by a margin of over 4 lakh votes in the general elections.
